TAPPED IN: Moving Hearts and Minds Through Art and Science

Created in collaboration with John Sterman, MIT professor and originator of the “Carbon Bathtub” model for climate change dynamics, this installation translates scientific insight into a tangible, immersive experience. Built from tree branches, plastic gloves, and seed-embedded recycled paper, the “Climate Bathtub Simulation” embodies both the fragility and resilience of our planet. The work highlights Earth’s ability to regenerate once greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, inviting viewers to imagine the impact of sustainable choices. It underscores our shared responsibility to act collectively in restoring climate balance and nurturing a livable future.
“Unfortunately, the moment we’re living in requires us to take action now – not just from an environmental perspective, but from economic and societal ones as well…You can’t have a healthy economy without a healthy environment or society – and vice versa.” – John Sterman
